About:
My Happy Place is a short walking simulator made for the Liminal Space Jam in 4 days. The jam lasted a month, but I forgot it existed so I was only able to throw a small experience together, this is especially clear with the level of polish seen... it's not incredible but it's playable.
The player watches old recordings from their (strangely familiar?) dreams, starting from what seems to be a normal day in the streets of your home town...

Post-Release Notes:
.I just realised the "Exit" button doesn't event work (I can't update and change it, as this is for a game jam).
.After watching hydraxsx on YouTube play this, the UI seems to be zoomed in/cut off so they weren't able to see some of the text.
.This game sucks, enjoy :)

Install instructions
1.Download the preferred version
2.Open file explorer and locate the "Downloads" folder.
3.Right click on the games folder and choose "Extract All"
4.Click "Browse" and locate a suitable location for the game files
5.Click "Extract"

bro i didnt understand that game i loked a good liminal space games but that one was very bad it was not creepy or it was not to much liminal but atmosphere was little bit good you can mak it better

Was quite an interesting game. Actually sent shivers down my spine as I played!! I have enjoyed playing this, or more like just walking through :)
This was some of the best liminal horror I've ever seen. Reminds me of nightmares I had as a kid. Will you be requiring any voice actors for future projects?
Thank you, I've recently been trying Unreal Engine 5 for another liminal game (not sure if it's actually going anywhere yet though), so voice acting would definitely help immersion. Although I don't have any budget to pay with and I don't want to use someone's talent without them getting profit. Thanks for the offer though, if I ever start work on a big project I'll keep you in mind if you want.

I searched the URL on the website and it didn't show anything wrong?

what does it come up with when you try opening it?
“Windows tried to protect the computer” and a “Don’t execute” button.
if you click the "more info" text it will bring up a "run anyway" button, I obviously know and am going to tell you its not a virus because I made it, but you should see if anyone else has had virus problems before you play just to be safe. (its not a virus but you should ask someone else in case)
It’s probably because i’m downloading from itch.io. And it doesn’t seem anyone is having this problem.
